Artisan Life Tagua Jewellery
Artisan Life Tagua jewellery is made from the Tagua seed, otherwise known as vegetable Ivory. It resembles animal ivory in its colour, hardness, look and texture but, unlike it, it is produced by a plant. They are produced from the seed of a palm tree called Phytelephas Aequatorialis or Phytelephas Macrocarpa which grows in tropical regions of South America. When ripe Tagua nuts fall to the ground naturally, meaning no damage is done to the rainforest during the production process.Artisan Life Tagua jewellery is handmade by Colombian artisans, and all of the products from Artisan Life are sourced on a fair trade basis using natural and sustainable materials.
