Find out more about fair trade and eco friendly Jewellery from Lotusfeet Length of Necklace: 51cm (20") Fair Trade and Eco Friendly Sea Bamboo Coral Coral jewellery has been made in many parts of the world and used for adornment since prehistoric times. The Sea bamboo Coral used for jewellery making is different from the endangered Coral species 'corallium japonicum' found on the barrier reefs. Sea bamboo is a plant farmed in the waters around Indonesia and is widely used in jewellery offering a more environmentally sustainable alternative to coral. It is dyed red, but it is permanently coloured - it will not fade or wash out.
